Chuvash State Agrarian University is located in Cheboksary, the picturesque capital of the Chuvash Republic. The city lies on the right bank of the Volga River and has its own airport. Today, the Chuvash State Agrarian University is a center for innovative agricultural development in the Chuvash Republic. It is a large educational and scientific complex with a well-developed infrastructure and a modern material and technical base. The university's four faculties offer the most up-to-date training programs for those who want to become professionals in their chosen field.
The Faculty of Biotechnology and Agronomy provides training for bachelor's degree students in the fields of Agronomy, Technology of Production and Processing of Agricultural Products, Land Management and Cadastre, Food Products from Plant Raw Materials, and Food Products of Animal Origin. The main goal of our faculty is to train qualified specialists who can apply modern agricultural technologies to improve the efficiency of agriculture and ensure the sustainable development of the agricultural sector. Our graduates have a thorough understanding of effective techniques for the production and processing of plant and animal products. They are able to evaluate the quality of these products and choose the best methods for their storage and processing.
The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechny provides training for veterinarians specializing in veterinary medicine and the organization of veterinary and sanitary expertise. It also trains dog handlers and animal engineers in the technology of animal product production through Veterinary and Sanitary Expertise and Zootechny training areas.
The Faculty of Engineering offers training in a variety of fields related to agricultural mechanization. Students can specialize in areas such as the technology of maintaining and repairing machinery in the agricultural industry, the mechanization of agricultural product processing, automobile and automotive industries, land transportation, agricultural engineering and other related fields. The faculty offers training in the following areas and specialties: "Technosphere Safety", "Technology of Transport Processes", "Operation of Transport and Technological Machines and Complexes", "Agricultural engineering", and "Ground Transport and Technological Means".
The Faculty of Economics provides training for specialists in accounting, analysis and audit, management of businesses in the agro-industrial sector. Education is delivered through bachelor's degree programs in Economics, Management, the Science of Commodities, and Service.
Chuvash State University implements 4 levels of higher education: bachelor's degree, master's degree, specialty and postgraduate studies. Applicants can choose full-time or extramural education upon admission. In some areas of training, you can also choose part-time education. The duration of the training depends on this choice. After 4 years, you can get a bachelor's degree, and after 5 years – a specialist's degree, provided that you study full-time. If you have chosen part-time education, add another 6 months to this period. For extramural students, the time required is 1 year longer. The Master's degree is the next step in higher education after completing a bachelor's degree, and the length of study for this degree is two years full-time. If you choose to study on a part-time basis, the duration will increase by three months, and if you are taking an extramural course, the length will increase by six months. Postgraduate study is the highest level of education, and it takes three or four years to complete, depending on your chosen specialty.
Depending on the chosen bachelor's or specialist's degree program, the cost of one year of study varies from 115,000 rubles to 159,000 rubles for full-time education, from 85,000 rubles to 95,000 rubles for part-time education and from 58,000 rubles to 79,000 rubles for extramural education. The cost of one year of master's degree program is 140,000 rubles full-time, 104,000 rubles part-time and 70,000 rubles for extramural course. Postgraduate studies cost 200,000 rubles per year.
The university has 5 dormitories available for temporary residence and accommodation of non-resident students during their studies. Each dormitory has necessary equipment, furniture, bedding, and household appliances. A modern fire safety system has also been installed. In the buildings, all necessary facilities have been provided, including kitchens, showers, laundries, internet access, and study rooms for preparation for classes. Students can also use recreation rooms and access the internet to spend their free time.
The Chuvash State Agrarian University values the health and well-being of its students and has created a sports complex on campus to support their physical activity. The complex is a modern, multifunctional facility located on the university's campus in the heart of the city. Inside the complex, there are five specialized sports halls catering to different fitness and athletic interests. They include a gym, a cardio room, a gymnastics studio, an aerobics studio, a kettlebell gym, a small gym, a martial arts studio, as well as spaces for playing mini-football, volleyball, basketball, practicing tai chi, doing qigong and yoga. These spaces provide opportunities for intense training as well as emotional relaxation. The most popular among visitors of the sports complex are the strength training rooms. Modern and efficient strength equipment, upbeat music, well-designed programs and nutrition plans led by a trainer - all these factors contribute to excellent health and fitness. Chuvash State Agrarian University's sports complex provides conditions for athletes to train and improve their skills in more than 10 different sports. Weekly competitions take place at the complex, with stands for 150 spectators available for fans.
